They served for over 20 years until the work became autonomous and led by all national workers. The Asia Pacific Regional team rejoices with the National Board, Local Committees and staff for this special celebration.
Dr. James Dobson wrote: "It is easier to shape a child than to rebuild an adult." Jesus said in the Great Commission (Matthew 28:19-20) you go and do. To "go" necessitates our moving. "Moving,"means to change places. Like the way the Message Bible puts it: "Go out and train everyone you meet, far and near, in this way of life," Matthew 28:19 (MSG) The original language says, "Going, make disciples, baptizing and teaching." To do what Jesus called us to do means go where the children are. MORE CHILDREN in Korea need to hear the Good News.
Jesus could have instructed the apostles to disciple all individuals or all men,but instead He instructed them to disciple all nations. This fact is significant. The word for nation in the original language (ethnos) means a multitude of individuals of the same nature, race or nation. It indicates a large group of people (including children) who often speak the same language and have the same culture, customs, heritage, geographical location, etc. God intends for His people to be involved.
More children mean more nations for Jesus Christ. How large will CEF grow? How strong? Only God knows that? but our job is to tell the children about the love of Jesus ? to bring them into the family? to teach them about God¡¯s love? to show them how to live a victorious Christian life? and to send them out to tell others about the salvation we have in Jesus. It¡¯s not our job to grow CEF? that¡¯s what God does? but it is our job to share the transforming story of Jesus with those around us, especially the children. Our mission field is right here? where we are.
It is our prayers that CEF in Korea will continue to remain faithful to God and to seeing MORE CHILDREN MORE NATIONS reached with the Good News that Jesus loves me this I know, for the Bible tells me so.
